We All Value Education (Project WAVE)
Program

Project WAVE is an academic enrichment and accelerated instruction program for students entering grades K-12 in the tri-county service area.  Project WAVE will be a two-week, summer (June), six hour per day program for up to 40 students.  Three hours (3) are devoted to academics, two (2) hours devoted to enrichment, and one (1) hour is devoted to meals and devotion. The focus of Project WAVE is to help under-resourced students navigating challenging circumstances prepare for the next grade level by reinforcing basic skills and offering academic challenges.

This educational activity will be presented by means of face-to-face correspondence or using virtual teaching and learning platforms. The students participating in the program are referred by local schools, social services, and individuals who mentor and tutor.  The instructional and resource activities for Project WAVE are currently being conducted in the New Holly Missionary Baptist Church’s Sunday School classrooms located within the church facility. Currently, a flat tuition fee of eighty ($80.00) dollars is charged per student participating in the program.  The fee was determined based on the cost of instructional resource supplies needed and the cost for the breakfast and lunch meals provided.
